Hi. I'm Sarah. He's Kevin. She's Hannah Claire. We're a family, blessed with our daughter via international adoption. Hannah was born and lovingly cared for in Taiwan, placed into our arms on 12.29.08, and things haven't been quite the same since. Hallelujah! On 9.2.11 we rejoiced when we received the referral for a little boy, nearly 10 months old, living in foster care in Taiwan. Our family is excitingly preparing for him to come home in 2012.
"By adopting a child and helping them reach their potential, they help us reach ours. An adopted child is not an unwanted child; to the contrary. They are a child who was searched for, prayed for, cried for, begged for; received by arms that ached, making empty hearts full. Love is meant to be shared." - Author unknown

I've always thought that my Hoosier speech was pretty "normal" American English. Now I've got proof! I'll never bring myself to call a Coke a soda... it will forever be a "pop" in my vobabulary.
65% General American English 10% Dixie 10% Midwestern 10% Upper Midwestern 0% Yankee
My mom and dad asked where my Dixie came from. I think that's pretty funny. I think my Dixie comes from Kevin... influenced by his Kentucky-born hillbilly relatives. When Kevin and I first met, I listened to his speech and thought oh my! He sounds like a hillbilly! After nearly 10 years since we first started dating... I don't hear it so much anymore.
Hey Sarah that was a great quiz my results are as follows 70% General American English 15% Yankee 10% Dixie 0% Mid West 0% Upper Mid West Are you saying I am a hillbilly since I am related to kevin
Karen, I think you've successfully washed your hair of anything "hillbilly." I didn't see a bit of pickled bologna or shotguns hung on the wall when I visited your house... but I know which of your relatives homes I can find those things in! Beware, you could increase your Dixie percentage down there with them Texans. My question is, where did that Yankee come from?
